Ben Nevis Climb

Ben Nevis Climb

Date posted: 10 June 2015

If you follow any of our social media channels, this news won't come as a big surprise, but in September this year, 13 Members of the colour centre team will overcoming all odds to ascend Ben Nevis all in the name of Cancer Research UK.

(the view the lucky survivors at the top might see.)

Now that our total is closing in around the half way mark, anticipation for the climb is at an all-time high. Many of us have already started our gruelling regimes to get into shape to tackle the mountain head on. Although it's nothing in comparison to the huge task a cancer patient would face, we want to come together as a company, and overcome an obstacle together completely out of all our comfort zones.

'Alone we can do little; but together we can do so much'

This is all a huge person challenge for many of us, and a target to aim for that will really cap off raising money for CRUK in a positive fashion. If you would like to know more, feel free to follow us on our social media channels (which you can find below), and check out our justgiving page:

1 - It is estimated that more than 150,000 people climb ‘The Ben’ (as it is known locally) each year.

2 - Ben Nevis is 1344m (4,406ft) high; the Mountain Track is around 16km (start to finish) and takes about 8 hours for an ascent, depending on how fit you are. It is a long slog!

3 - For a while, a hotel also operated at the summit!
